Louise has been involved in the field of community development in Dublin, Ireland for over 20 years. During this time she has primarily focused on the area of addiction recovery and the development of person-centred services and networks of support. Her work experience ranges across frontline service provision, research, service development and policy. This work included the establishment of collaborative processes in two geographical regions to co-create Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) with service users, addiction service providers and other community agencies as part of a national policy initiative to integrate pathways of support in communities.
More recently in 2020, she has commenced a PhD to “Advance the system with mothers in addiction recovery” in Trinity College Dublin.
