Tanja Hichert

Tanja Hichert is an experienced professional futurist, aka strategic foresight practitioner. She heads up a futures consulting firm and is a research associate at the Centre for Complex Systems in Transition, Stellenbosch University. She specialises in scenario planning, horizon scanning, risk management and facilitating strategic conversations that provide clarity and direction for organisations and institutions faced with complexity and uncertainty. Tanja has extensive experience in applying futures methods and approaches to development issues in the emerging world, as well as a solid track record in business strategy. In addition to post-graduate teaching and serving on boards of futures organisations, she relishes in the challenge of innovative and experimental approaches, and working at the intersection of complex issues.
