Swaminathan Natarajan, Dr

has a PhD in computer science and about 30 years of experience, including positions with Texas A&M University and Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as Xerox, Motorola India and Tata Consultancy Services Research.  His research interests are primarily in systems engineering and its relationship to systems science.  His current focus is on obtaining a conceptual understanding of the nature of systems and how we engage with them, particularly in terms of knowledge. He is a member of the INCOSE systems science working group, and is collaborating with them on how systems engineering should evolve in order to be able to cope with the increasingly complex systems that we are creating and living in.
