Dr. Thomas Lehr

Managing Director


Dr. Thomas Lehr has been chairman of the Parmenides Foundation in Munich since 2007 and the Managing Director of the European School of Governance in Berlin since April 2009.

He provides policy and strategy consulting for the public sector, government authorities, universities and NGO’s. He also facilitates and supports conferences, meetings and workshops in developing scenarios and strategies to handle, monitor and control complex processes.

Dr. Louis Klein

Dr. Louis Klein is an internationally recognized expert in the field of systemic change and complex project management.

In 2010 he received the Inaugural Research Price of the International Centre for Complex Project Management. Promoting system thinking, cybernetics and action research he earned a seat on the board of the World Organisation for Systems and Cybernetics as well as VP with the International Society for the Systems Sciences.

Currently he holds its SIG chair for Organisational Transformation and Social Change. In 2003 he became a member of the German Association of Political Consultants and in 2015 he joint agora42, a german magazine on philosophy, business and economics, as publisher/editor.

Professor Dr. Ulrike Guérot

Senior Director


is Founder and Director of the European Democracy Lab in Berlin as well as Professor and Director of the Department for European Policy & Democracy Studies at the Donau University in Krems, Austria.

She has 20 years of experience in the European think tank community and has taught in both Europe and the US. Previously she worked for the European Council on Foreign Relations, at the Open Society Initiative for Europe, at the German Council on Foreign Relations, and with the German Marshall Fund.

Ulrike Guérot is a regular writer and commentator on European and transatlantic affairs as well as on European Democracy and global Europe, both in the German and European media.

For her engagement in European affairs, she received the French award L’Ordre pour le Mérite in 2003.

Norman Heydenreich

Director


Norman Heydenreich being an internationally recognized expert in the field of project management is the founder and director of the project governance Lab. He is also founder and director of the Management Academy Weimar. He is a member of the ISO technical committee TC258 Project, programme and portfolio management and its working group on project governance.

Previously he held various senior management position, e.g. as CIO of a state bank, as Director Government Relations with Microsoft and as head of public affairs with the German Association for Project Management. He was appointed as expert to the Major Projects Reform Commission of the German Federal Government. As project manager and sponsor Norman Heydenreich steered complex and large projects in corporations across various industries.

He is a writer and blogger on management and governance issues of public projects and holds various university teaching assignments on project governance.

Linn Wüstenberg

Programme Officer


is programme officer and office manager of the European Democracy Lab. She speaks several languages fluently and is committed to supporting a more democratic and inclusive version of Europe.

Linn previously worked for the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) in Chile and France, promoting and facilitating the academic exchange and networking in an increasingly interconnected world. She also collaborated with cultural institutions such as the Goethe Institute and gained work experience in the media, working for the French-German broadcaster ARTE.

She studied translation and interpretation at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs, Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris (France).

Benedetta Oddo

Through market research in Egypt, workers‘ and water rights in Palestine, communities, local authorities, entrepreneurs in Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Libya, Benedetta Oddo has experienced the joy and the frustrations of a journey that has finally given her the privilege of seeing and supporting the current radical and ongoing critical changes …

No matter where or whom she was working for – the UN, Governments, NGOs, Multinationals – to her, the only driving force for holding off discouragement and fatigue has always been the people and their struggle for a better life.

Barbara Petkus

Office Manager EUSG office Berlin


worked mainly in the legal domain and in office administration before joining eusg in 2014. Here she takes care of the Berlin office, supports the team and contributes to a variety of IT projects.

Born in Houston, Texas, USA, Barbara attained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans as well as attended a broad range of universities in France, Austria, Switzerland and Germany, mainly to learn the local languages.

She has a CELTA certificate and taught English to adults for many years.

Doris Bergmann

Consultant/Trainer/ Project Manager


joined EUSG in 2008 as the person responsible for the Executive Education Programs for European policy training.

Since 2012 she has been working as a consultant and project manager for different projects in the field of environment, sustainability and resources. Her methodological focus lies on scenario-based strategic planning and foresight with EIDOS.

She is an EIDOS trainer and responsible for the regular Open Eidos Training courses. She studied Geography with a focus on developmental aid and regional development and has a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
