Dr. Eva Ritter – Director

Dr. Eva Ritter

Is an open-minded researcher, lecturer and founder of “nordic perspectives”. Trained as a geo-ecologist with a Ph.D. in forest ecology, she is used to thinking in systems, processes and interdependencies.

She has worked as associate professor at universities in Denmark, Iceland and England. An advocate of life-long learning, she later added a M.A. in Education and Sustainability. In her work, her focus is on the interaction between people, culture and nature. Through her collaboration in the Nordic countries and with indigenous cultures in the Arctic region, she has included into her practice different approaches to transformation and sustainable development.

Eva Ritter is a member of the board of the Nordic Folk School in Kungälv (Sweden) and the association Future e.V. – Education for Sustainable Development in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany); recipient of fellowships from the Leverhulme Trust and the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation.
