Chakradhar iyyunni, Ph.D.

is an “Edgewalker” – taking risks, building bridges and breaking new ground. Over the last decade, his service as a practitioner-academician was built on the foundation of three principles: risk-as-a-lens, research-as-a-tool and project management-as-a-way-of-life. A strong engineering, project and service orientation and broad-based exposure to construction, manufacturing, engineering, technology and services segments support his effectiveness as a consultant.

The primary influences to his work are: the service orientation of the distinguished scientist Mme. Marie Curie, a poet of the bhakti movement and harbinger of peace, Saint Kabir Das and the poet Laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s vision for humanity in the poem, “Where the mind is without fear.” His achievement orientation is inspired by Goethe’s statement – “Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”

By probing risk behavior, Chakradhar believes in our ability to create a fair, just and happy global community in a thriving planet. Building thought-leadership via experiential involvement and grounded in optimization theory and nonlinear modeling, he believes that scientific and innovative management techniques will lead to serendipitous and emergent systemic behavior. His interests range from tracking mindset shifts in entrepreneurs, developing group intelligence, support the building of ecosystems and imagineering interventions to challenging problems.
