Background: The aim of the overall project is to examine the potential effectiveness of policies and policy bundles on the development of relevant, resource political target values (e.g. foreign and domestic resource consumption, as well as GDP and job creation) in a timeframe until the year 2050.

Objectives and Results: This will be achieved by means of a common model framework of integrated econometric and system dynamic model simulations. Both nationally expected trends and developments as well as those in a European and global context (such as resource use or population growth) should be taken into account in the process. Thus, the project aims to help identify and check effective policies and to determine quantitative, resource policy objectives – and thus contribute to the development of the national resource efficiency program ProgRess. Eusg’s mission is to participate in the writing of the trend report “Looking for the future: Trend report for a forward looking resource policy” and the development of policy bundles.
