Background: FAO – the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations – is an intergovernmental organization, an agency of the United Nations, which leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Achieving food security for all is at the heart of FAO’s efforts – making sure people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives.
Objectives and Results: 2008 eusg moderated the FAO International Conference on Avian Influenza, which dealt with the then present situation of the avian influenza in Cambodia and the Mekong Region. The aim was to look into the risks for the population and into which state actions needed to be taken in order to prevent them.
